“But be ye filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart unto the Lord.” Ephesians 5:18-19
Praise Team and Choir Leader: Sister Amy Milam
The Music Department of TPCD affords all who attend to fulfill these scriptures. One of the things you will first notice when you visit our services is that our music is not subdued or quiet but, energetic and upbeat, which encourages hand clapping and at times even a bit of toe tapping. We use musical instruments along with singers as tools of worship just as is evident in the Old Testament. During our Sunday services, our Sanctuary Choir is always focused on more than just singing, but to lift up the name of Jesus with sincerity and excitement. They present a variety of song styles that is sure to be a blessing to those with various taste in music. It is our hope and desire that during your visit to the TPCD our music and worship ministry will assist you in experiencing God as never before.
Music has always been a beautiful, meaningful way of linking believers to their Savior. To be effective, members of the Music Ministry are anointed individuals who create an atmosphere of faith through praise and worship. They use their vocal or instrumental talents to focus our hearts on Christ’s great gift of salvation, His glory, and His power. The Music Ministry incorporates varied styles of Christian music. The choir, musicians, soloists, and singing groups minister as they add a vital spiritual dimension to every service. The choir practices each Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
Come and be a part of a worshipful encounter where you can worship God freely, openly and without reservation.
