NASHVILLE MEN’S CONFERENCE

Held each summer, the Nashville Men’s Conference is a wonderful time of spiritual growth and strengthening for men from around the region as together we pursue biblical manhood.

CONFERENCE

The conference itself is held at First Church on Friday night and Saturday, and features several guest speakers and music, as well as special sessions for singles and students (aged 16-24).

GOLF SCRAMBLE

For the past several years, the pre-conference golf tournament held on Friday has become a highly-anticipated time of fellowship for conference attendees. All proceeds from the golf tournament benefit ministries of First Church.

Format: 18 Holes - Four Person (Best'Ball") Scramble  Cost: $60 per player.   Date: Friday, August 16, 2019  Registration Deadline: August 12, 2019

Larry started playing guitar at age 6. Growing up in a musical family and singing in a trio with his sister and mother on a local radio broadcast and in churches thru his childhood fueled his love for music and the guitar.  

  After high school while in the US Army larry began to perform in nite clubs and after the military became a full time musician.  He battled addictions for several years until 1988 when he returned to his roots and re-established his relationship with God.

  In early 1989 larry joined the McGruders and spent 4 years on the road with them touring and recording "Come Fly With The McGruders"  

Leaving the McGruders in Oct of 1992 Larry embarked on a solo ministry and is nearing 20 years of ministry across the US and Canada.  He has also played guitar on hundreds of CD releases Including CLC and has guitar credits with John Schlitt and Bob Carlisle and Greg Volz.  Larry is the songwriter of several know songs including  Sunday School Girl, When I Found Jesus I Lost The Blues and has songs recorded by Ivan Parker, Tim Spell, Karen Harding, Greg McCool and other artists.

Larry has been married to Debra Carter since 1982 and has 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters and a grandson

St. Louis Trip: (Note: Money needs to be paid by June 17th)

When: Friday & Saturday, June 29th & 30th

Game info: Atlanta Braves vs. St. Louis Cardinals 7:15 CST at Busch Stadium

Cost per person: $100(This may be less depending on number of people in room and cost of tickets)

Itinerary: 

June 29th: 9am leave Darden. Pickup local Lexington men at Pulse Gym.

11am to 1pm arrive at Lambert's Cafe' for lunch.

3pm arrive at hotel in Arnold, MO. Check in rooms to rest and freshen up.

5: 30 leave hotel for Busch Stadium.

11pm arrive back at hotel.

June 30th:

8am leave hotel for home.

11am lunch(This is to be determined)

2pm arrive in Darden.
