Larry started playing guitar at age 6. Growing up in a musical family and singing in a trio with his sister and mother on a local radio broadcast and in churches thru his childhood fueled his love for music and the guitar. 

  After high school while in the US Army larry began to perform in nite clubs and after the military became a full time musician.  He battled addictions for several years until 1988 when he returned to his roots and re-established his relationship with God.

  In early 1989 larry joined the McGruders and spent 4 years on the road with them touring and recording "Come Fly With The McGruders" 

Leaving the McGruders in Oct of 1992 Larry embarked on a solo ministry and is nearing 27 years of ministry across the US and Canada.  He has also played guitar on hundreds of CD releases Including CLC and has guitar credits with John Schlitt and Bob Carlisle and Greg Volz.  Larry is the songwriter of several know songs including  Sunday School Girl, When I Found Jesus I Lost The Blues and has songs recorded by Ivan Parker, Tim Spell, Karen Harding, Greg McCool and other artists.

Larry has been married to Debra Carter since 1982 and has 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters and 3 grandsons.
